If you are planning to sit the Digital SAT this autumn, the clock is already running. The November SAT takes place on Saturday, 7 November 2026, and the regular registration deadline is Friday, 23 October 2026. For students in Dubai and across the UAE, that deadline falls at 11:59 pm Eastern Time, which is 7:59 am on Saturday, 24 October in the UAE.
Miss it and you can still sign up during the late registration window until Tuesday, 27 October 2026, but you will pay an extra fee and the choice of test centres may shrink. This guide covers the dates, fees, UAE time conversion, registration steps and a simple final stretch plan so you can lock in your seat with confidence. If you want expert help building your score, our SAT preparation course in Dubai is built for exactly this stage.
Save these dates before you do anything else. All College Board deadlines close at 11:59 pm ET, and the UAE is eight hours ahead of Eastern Time at this point in the year.
What the Digital SAT looks like
The SAT is fully digital and adaptive. You complete two sections, Reading and Writing and then Math, with a short break in between, and each section adjusts to your performance. The test has 98 questions, runs for 2 hours 14 minutes of testing time and is scored out of 1600.
The UAE time conversion catches people out
Because the portal closes at 11:59 pm Eastern Time, many students assume they have until late on Friday evening in Dubai. In reality the cut-off arrives early on Saturday morning UAE time. Treat Friday, 23 October as your true deadline and register earlier in the week so a payment error or login problem does not cost you your seat.
Late registration costs more and offers less choice
Registering after the regular deadline adds a $38 late fee, and popular test centres fill up quickly. Leaving it to the last minute also removes any buffer for name mismatches with your ID, card declines or technical glitches.
November is a key sitting for regular decision applicants
Scores typically arrive about two weeks after test day, so a 7 November sitting returns results in time for regular decision deadlines around 1 January. The 5 December sitting works as a backup. Early Action and Early Decision deadlines around 1 November fall before the November test date, so those applicants should already have tested.
Class of 2027 applicants applying Regular Decision
If your target universities close applications in early January, November gives you a strong first or second attempt with December still available as a retake.
Students retaking after an earlier attempt
If your last score fell short of the range your target universities usually admit, November is a practical retake window. Use your previous score report to decide whether Reading and Writing or Math needs the most work.
Grade 11 students who want an early baseline
Testing in your junior year shows you exactly where you stand and leaves time to retake in the spring if needed. Even one attempt gives you data that makes your preparation far more targeted.
Check each university’s testing policy first
A growing number of US universities have reintroduced testing requirements, while others remain test-optional. Check the policy for every university on your list so you know whether a strong SAT score is required or simply strengthens your application.

Registration is completed online and usually takes about 20 minutes. Keep your passport or Emirates ID details handy before you begin.
1. Create or sign in to your College Board account
Visit the College Board website and sign in. Make sure the name on your account matches your ID exactly, because a mismatch can cause problems on test day.
2. Select 7 November 2026 and your UAE test centre
Choose the November date, then pick a test centre. Centres in busy cities fill up, so select yours as early as possible.
3. Pay the registration fee
The base SAT fee is $68. International test centres carry an additional regional fee, and late registration adds $38. Students who qualify can use a fee waiver, which covers the full cost of the SAT.
4. Sort out device and support requests early
You take the test on a device with the Bluebook app installed. If you need a College Board device or testing accommodations, contact College Board right away, as these requests have their own cut-offs that can fall before the regular deadline.
5. Complete Bluebook setup the week before test day
Log in to Bluebook during the week before the exam to finish your exam setup and download your admission ticket. Print it or email it to yourself so it is easy to find on test day.
Take a full-length Bluebook practice test now
A timed practice test in the Bluebook app shows your current score and your weakest areas. Official practice material from College Board and Khan Academy is free, so use it as your baseline.
Target your weakest question types
Spend the middle weeks on the skills that cost you the most points, such as algebra and data questions in Math or boundaries and transitions in Reading and Writing. Short, focused sessions beat long unfocused ones.
Practise under real test conditions
Sit at least one more full practice test on a weekend morning, using the same device you will use on test day. This builds stamina and removes surprises around timing and the digital interface.
Taper and prepare in the final week
Review mistakes rather than cramming new topics, sleep well and get your logistics ready. Your test day checklist should include:
You still have options, but each one has a trade-off. Here is how the alternatives compare:
The November SAT is only a few weeks away, and the registration deadline of 23 October is closer still. Register early, remember that the cut-off arrives on Saturday morning in the UAE, set up Bluebook in the week before the test and use the remaining time for focused, timed practice. A confident plan now can make the difference between a rushed attempt and a score that strengthens your application.
